Los Angeles Construction Clean-up For Affordable Senior Housing Project
This week Squeegee Pro performed building siding cleaning and construction clean-up window cleaning to a new project in West Hollywood. The Janet L. Witkin Center will provide 17 units for seniors with physical or sensory disabilities.

“The award winning Janet L. Witkin Center is ALA’s newest affordable senior housing development and will be located at 937 N. Fairfax Avenue, the site of ALA’s former staff offices in West Hollywood. Named after ALA’s founder, the Center will help low-income and formerly homeless seniors age in place while coping with the challenges of increased frailty.
Inspired by our success at Bonnie Brae Village, six of the Center’s 17 units will house chronically homeless seniors. Three additional units will be designated for individuals with mobility issues or visual impairment.”
Squeegee Pro was thrilled to take part in a project that will help provide housing for low income and/or homeless seniors. We had four Squeegee Pros on site. Paul, Chris, Rosendo and Vinny worked two full days to help make the windows of this beautiful building shine. We also rinsed off the exterior tile of the building which was covered in dust from all the construction.
On the left here you’ll see Rosendo using a water-fed pole to gently scrub the buidling’s tile siding, which was designed to look as though it is made of wood.
To help remove the construction grime on the tile siding, Squeegee Pro employed an environmentally-friendly cleaner. The Janet L. Witkin Center is a LEED certified building which is why we chose this cleaner over harsher chemicals.
Chris takes a break in the sun during a mid-day team meeting to discuss progress. It was a tough job–our Pros removed tape and paper which covered the windows during interior painting, and scraped paint splatter, drywall mud, stickers, and other unusual objects from both sides of the window glass. The scafolding is set to be removed shortly, and our goal was to have the windows pop when the is building uncovered.
